January Blog Hop for Papertrey Ink

So tonight I am participating in the January Papertrey Ink Blog Hop! All of this fun in anticipation of the February Anniversary Release. Should be very exciting for all of us lovers of ALL THINGS PTI!!!! I wonder what amazingness they will have us swooning over in anticipation of this release?


Anyway this month's challenge was to finish the inside of the card as well. And include the envelope. So here is what I put together.









Unless otherwise noted ALL supplies are PTI. I started off with a base of raspberry fizz cardstock. I stamped the base layer with Heart Prints using Fresh Snow ink on the left. On the right side of the base I used Polka Dot Basics part deaux in Versamark ink. I made a tag using kraft cardstock and stamped hearts from Heart Prints in Fresh Snow and Raspberry Fizz, I also ran a bit of both colors around the edges of the tag to soften the look. I again used the polka dots on the left end of the tag in Raspberry Fizz. I thought the look was too harsh so I used the New Canvas Palette ink pad over the top to tone it down. I chose the New Canvas pad because of the texture of the pad. Using the Raspberry Fizz Mix paper pad I created another of Tim Holtz's roses. These things are so lovely. I used several different patterns to give the rose a bit of a different look than the first one I did (here) with only one pattern. In True Black I stamped the sentiment from Heart Prints on the edge of the tag. I finished off the tag with ribbon - Raspberry Fizz grossgrain and white, which I stapled on.

I did essentially the same thing to the interior of the card. For the sentiment I used Mega Mixed Messages and masked the Miss you stamp so I could pair the "you" with LOVE.


Now for the NON PTI supplies: Martha Stewart Carrara Marble glitter for the 2 white trips on the tag, SU! bright pink glitter (no name on the jar so I can't tell you exactly what color - only that it came in a glitter stack). SU! white taffeta ribbon, colored staples and SU! corner punch
