No, not another challenge - YET

Recently I saw a card with many different patterned papers on it. I thought I would try my hand at creating a similar card. I found this this great card at ...Just a little something blog by Joanne and thought I would CASE it a bit.

So here is my take on her card

I did use the rule of three changes when CASEing: first I changed the decorative paper used, I changed where the sentiment was, layered the circle on a scallop, and I used a velvet scallop ribbon. I did use my sewing machine and I am pleased with the result. It was a bit of a step outside my box since I am not always comfortable with matching up patterned papers. Enjoy!

Supplies Used:
Waltzingmouse - Blessed by You stamp set
PTI Dark Chocolate ink
PTI Kraft Cardstock, Melon Berry buttons and twine
Webster's Pages decorative paper

I think you did a great job matching the papers! I had never heard of the rule of three. I can see the similarities with the original, but you definitely made this feel very different. Great job!

I haven't heard of the rule of three either but it sounds fair to me, And the card is very warm looking.

Love the rustic stitching in this - looks so antiquey! The crocheted trim is such a fabulous touch too! I also loved that original card - and I like how you've interpreted it here!
