Bright Beautiful Blooms hello...

This card took me 4-eva! to finish (about 2 hours) but I so love how it turned out. I really like how bright and cheery it is. It started out as a project for Papercrafts August gallery challenge which was to use buttons, brads and ribbons. Basics we all turn to. I didn't use any brads for this project but pulled out almost all of my go-to items. All but brads and glitter. I used felt, ribbon, dies, patterned paper, twine and vintage inks. Fun fun! I just realized this probably works for my Papertrey Peeps #13 challenge. We were to use Mary Engelbreit as our inspiration.

For the leaf vine I stamped a PTI Turning a New Leaf image onto the Simply Chartreuse felt and then cut it out closely. I glued it onto the patterned paper using Zip Dry glue (face down so you wouldn't see the inked section though it looked pretty good - very lightly colored). The felt was very easy to manipulate and didn't need to stay in the same shape as the stamped image. I sewed the buttons onto the felt flowers and ribbon label at the same time.

Hope you enjoy this project!
