Life is Short: Read Fast...

For my next Unscripted Sketches challenge #74 we used this sketch.

I chose to rotate and elongate the sketch. I made a bookmark with my fabulous PTI Ocean tides wool felt. I cut the felt using my PTI Library Card die which cut like buttah by the way. Gorgeous! Using my ticket die and Just the Ticket stamp set I made the little border on the side - oh my, can I say I just love that ticket die? I also used All Booked Up stamp set for the sentiments and focal image. The deco paper is October Afternoon Thrift Store and was cut using PTI Mat Stack dies #1 & #4. Then with my fabulous Crop-a-dile I added the eyelets along the edge. I love how this turned out. I wanted the bookmark to be flat to preserve the integrity of any book it is placed in - but still have layers and cuteness. I topped it off with PTI Dark Chocolate grosgrain and Baker's Twine. The sentiments I chose are: Life is Short - Read Fast and As soon as I finish this chapter - which coincidentally is what I often hear from my boys...

My bookmark also works for the following challenges...

Shabby Tearoom Challenge - week 28 photo inspiration - colors and school - my colors were the brown, aqua and white/cream in the background and books & school go hand-in-hand in my opinion

The Pink Elephant - TPE 84 - use the color aqua, designer paper and embellishment of your choice - I used Ocean Tides as my aqua color, October Afternoon Thrift store papers for my designer paper and ribbon and eyelets for embellishments.

I love your bookmark. What a great way to use the sketch. I have to start using some felt on my projects, too.
