I have yet another card to share with you. This card is also going into the birthday binders I am making (6 of them). I struggled with this for a few moments. I knew I wanted to use my new dress form die from Papertrey Ink along with its matching stamp set. But I just wasn't sure how I wanted to portray the horizontal strip. What I ended up doing is flipping the sketch. I used a Text It background stamp from Waltzingmouse for the main strip. Then I added bitty dot ribbon from PTI in Fresh Linen over the text. I used my PTI Mat Stack #4 die for the white frame on the front of the card. I used my dress form die on the new Happy spots paper and tied it with silk ribbon and that represents the vertical strip. The silk ribbon was white but I died it brown with my Copic marker and then tied it around the waist of the dress. I stamped the bottom of the dress form in Dark Chocolate ink. The sentiment is also from the new PTI stamp set designed by Dawn McVey called Signature Series: Dress Form. Love this little $5 set.
Hope you enjoy this addition to my christmas presents collection. Let me know when you play along.
I have been married to my best friend, James for over 20 years. I feel so entirely blessed to be his wife and the mother of his children. We have two wonderfully sweet boys. They are growing so fast and keep us on our toes. I love to scrapbook, stamp cards and gifts, cook and bake. I really like to pamper my guys. And I would love to some day live a sustainable life style on our own homestead. Cows, chickens, goats, OH MY. A garden with tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers and more. Oh, the dreams I have...
For now, I enjoy crafting my "art" out and reading aloud to all three guys. I so enjoy spending time with my family.
