Unscripted Sketches #85

Unscripted Sketches has another great sketch for us this week.

I have yet another card to share with you. This card is also going into the birthday binders I am making (6 of them). I struggled with this for a few moments. I knew I wanted to use my new dress form die from Papertrey Ink along with its matching stamp set. But I just wasn't sure how I wanted to portray the horizontal strip.

What I ended up doing is flipping the sketch. I used a Text It background stamp from Waltzingmouse for the main strip. Then I added bitty dot ribbon from PTI in Fresh Linen over the text. I used my PTI Mat Stack #4 die for the white frame on the front of the card. I used my dress form die on the new Happy spots paper and tied it with silk ribbon and that represents the vertical strip. The silk ribbon was white but I died it brown with my Copic marker and then tied it around the waist of the dress. I stamped the bottom of the dress form in Dark Chocolate ink. The sentiment is also from the new PTI stamp set designed by Dawn McVey called Signature Series: Dress Form. Love this little $5 set.

Hope you enjoy this addition to my christmas presents collection. Let me know when you play along.

Ooooh! What a gorgeous set of cards! This is a great take on the sketch - and I LOVE the way you've used the dress form - (I resisted it ... but think it may have been an error ;0)!
